ABC/Image Group LAThis week, Brothers Osborne celebrate their latest number one: their collaboration with Dierks Bentley, “Burning Man.”
“One week shy of a year ago, Dierks sent us an idea for a collaboration,” John and TJ tweeted. “Upon first listen we knew we had to be a part of it…”
“Honored to be a part of Burning Man, Dierks,” they added. “Been a fun ride!”
The last time the CMA and ACM Vocal Duo of the Year visited the top spot was in January of 2016, when “Stay a Little Longer,” from their debut album Pawn Shop, hit #1.
For Dierks, “Burning Man” is the eighteenth #1 of his career so far.
“I felt an authentic connection to this song the first time I heard it,” he says, “and my attachment to it has only strengthened night after night as I watch our fans connect with it.”
“It is as much their song as it is mine…” Dierks adds. “We all face that push and pull of who we are as people.”
This week, the Arizona native is finishing up his final Canadian dates on the Burning Man Tour with Jon Pardi and Tenille Townes. They play Kelowna, British Columbia Monday night, before heading to Vancouver on Tuesday.
Dierks will kick off the U.S. leg of the trek on Thursday in Spokane, Washington, before stopping in Tacoma and Eugene, Oregon on Friday and Saturday.
