Starting off Day 2 and playing throughout today on the Santa Rosa Stage during intermissions is Ryan Scripps from San Jose. You might recognize him if you came to Country Summer last year! He rocked the Santa Rosa stage on Saturday 2016, so we decided to invite him back for Saturday in 2017!
So who is Ryan Scripps? According to Dano, he’s a “really chill, talented guy”. He’s pursuing his dream of playing music full time by taking on as many gigs as possible throughout the Northern California area.
About one year ago, Ryan released his first EP to iTunes and Spotify titled as “Ryan ‘n’ Cece”. The three song EP includes two originals written by Ryan and one cover song which were all produced by Ben Araiza of Def Moose Studios based out of San Jose, CA. Ryan is currently working on a brand new EP which will feature him as a solo artist. “Music is my ultimate passion and you never know where it’s going to take you. The most important aspect is that you gotta have fun with it and I feel so blessed to be able to do that on a regular basis.” –Ryan
Froggy first learned about Ryan a year ago when he performed in the battle of the bands-style contest where he was runner up. Beyond playing at local venues, releasing EP’s on iTunes, Ryan has also had air time with his hometown San Jose country station, 95.3 KRTY. With his passion and dedication, it’s only a matter of time before Ryan becomes well known beyond the NorCal region.
