It is now the Sonoma County Wine Celebration - encompassing a variety of events, culminating in the amazing Sonoma County Wine Auction at Chateau St. Jean. Sonoma County Focus – 2024 All Hallows Art Fest

Host Michelle Marques talks with Sharon Bloom, one of the artists participating in the 2024 All Hallows Art Fest in Petaluma on Saturday, September 28th. This juried art show is filled with Halloween-themed artwork from 30 to 35 different artists from around the country. Collectors arrive hours in advance to get first pick at the handcrafted pieces. The show is hosted at Hermann Sons Hall on Western Avenue in Petaluma, and it is as much as character in the show as the art itself. Admission is $5 and the show is open from 9am to 3pm. Sonoma County Focus – Crying on the Camino – a One Woman Show

Host Michelle Marques talks with Martin Peña, a Kenwood resident who has walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain multiple times and is now on the Board of Directors for the American Pilgrims on the Camino organization. He has arranged a showing of "Crying on the Camino - a One Woman Show" by Broadway actress Celeste Mancinelli at the Sebastiani Theatre in Sonoma on August 10th. Sonoma County Focus – National Breastfeeding Month

Host Michelle Marques talks with Lucy Tyrala, Perinatal Services Coordinator for the Sonoma County Department of Health Services about National Breastfeeding Month which begins in August. There is a an event planned for August 1st from 9am to 11am at the WIC Farmers Market in Santa Rosa, located at 1450 Guerneville Road. At this event you can learn about community resources available for families with young children, meet peer breastfeeding counselors, and enjoy food, face paintings and giveaways.

 

Sonoma County Focus – Vern Glenn Invitational Celebrity Golf Tournament

Host Michelle Marques talks with Emmy award-winning Bay Area sportscaster Vern Glenn about the first annual Vern Glenn Invitational Celebrity Golf Tournament, coming up on Monday, July 29th at the Sequoya Country Club in Oakland. The evening will wrap up with a good natured roast, hosted by Joe Fonzi and Bob Sarlatte. The tournament is a fundraiser for two great organizations: Marin County Public Safety Officers Association and The Pinkney Foundation. Sonoma County Focus – Santa Rosa Urban Arts Partnership

Host Michelle Marques talks with Spring Maxfield, Director of the Santa Rosa Urban Arts Partnership about the non-profit and her efforts to facilitate creative, engaging art experiences for the people of Santa Rosa. The Santa Rosa Urban Arts Partnership began in 2017 to help the city bring back vitality to Juilliard Park. Art is a vital part of keeping communities healthy and engaged, and it can and SHOULD be a viable way for creatives to make a living and participate in the local economy. For the past three years, SR Urban Arts Partnership has been involved in producing the WinterBlast event in the South A Street Art District (SOFA), and now is producing the West End Block Party and Summer Market at the area around the DeTurk Round Barn just north of Railroad Square on Sunday, June 30th. There will likely be additional West End Block Party events as the summer continues. There is also an Art Alley Mural project open to interested artists, and Santa Rosa's 1st Annual Open Studios for Santa Rosa Artists. Learn more and get involved at srurbanarts.org.
