Sonoma County Focus – Disabled American Veterans

Host Michelle Marques talks with Matthew Jensen, DAV Life Member of Chapter 48 and Iraq War Combat Veteran, David Bailey, State Commander DAV Auxiliary, and Sonu Chandi, President of Chandi Hospitality and owner of many Mountain Mike's Pizza locations in the Bay Area. Our conversation today is about the challenges that veterans experience returning from combat and transitioning back to civilian life, and what the organization Disabled American Veterans does to support vets. The local Chapter 48 of DAV is establishing a Volunteer Transportation Network to get vets to their appointments. Mountain Mike's is donating a portion of proceeds (eat in, take out, or delivery!) that day to Disabled American Veterans.
