ABC/Image Group LAKelsea Ballerini is celebrating her latest #1 hit “Miss Me More,” but her fans are the ones who got a gift.
As a special surprise, Kelsea has made her song “We Were Like” available on all streaming services. She’s been performing the song live in concert since last year.
“Ask and you shall receive” her team tweeted, along with a link to the track. Kelsea also highlighted the release in her Instagram story.
The upbeat track is a fond look back on a summer romance, with Kelsea singing, “We were like fire/Summer breeze, seventies, all-nighter/Let the beach be the background choir/We were like a movie/Said I looked too good in that two-piece/And for those three months you knew me/remember those nights?”
In other Kelsea news, she’s on NBC’s new music reality show Songland tonight at 10 p.m. ET; she’ll choose a new song to record out of several pitched to her by songwriters.
