Ned Ledoux is the second oldest child of late rodeo and music icon Chris LeDoux. Ned and his four siblings grew up on the family ranch near Kaycee, Wyo., and he played drums in his father’s band, Western Underground, until Chris passed away in 2005. After his Dad’s passing, he continued to tour with his father’s band to keep the musical spirit of Chris LeDoux alive. Instead of playing drums though, he decided to pick up the guitar and try singing his Dad’s songs, enjoying a new kind of rush behind the mic. Ned has embraced playing in his Dad’s big and bittersweet shadow… and has made it a goal of his reintroduce his father’s music to a generation in the crowds that may have missed out, while also playing some songs of his own. Ned recently released his first album Forever a Cowboy — EP six months ago in December; and for the last year, has been touring and opening for acts like Toby Keith, Chris Janson and Randy Houser. Take a moment to look his album up and enjoy his songs like “Forever a Cowboy” and “Brother Highway” that will give you a taste of his raw cowboy sound and love for storytelling, just like his father.
