ABC/Image Group LA Dan + Shay are planning to leave you “Speechless” on Friday.
Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney continue to preview tunes from their forthcoming third album, and this week, they’re unveiling a very personal song inspired by their wives.
“We both got married last year, and wrote a song about the moment we first saw our beautiful brides walking down the aisle,” the duo explained on social media. “It’s called #SPEECHLESS…”
It’s emotional territory the two know well: in 2016, Dan + Shay hit #1 with “From the Ground Up,” a song inspired by the lifelong loves of their grandparents. “Speechless” will be available to stream or download on Friday.
So far, we still don’t know the title or the release date for Dan + Shay’s follow-up to Obsessed, which came out nearly two years ago. The album’s lead single, “Tequila,” is currently in country’s top ten.
