A Thousand Horses was the third performance today on the Chevy Silverado Stage here at Country Summer (Day 2), and they kept the party alive with their southern rock country! This Republic Nashville recording band that was formed in 2010, consists of Michael Hobby (lead vocals), Bill Satcher (lead guitar), Zach Brown (guitar and vocals), and Graham Deloach (bass and vocals).

The whole band moved around on stage, bringing a lively performance filled with their own originals and covers like “Dead Flowers” by The Rolling Stones and “Hard to Handle” by Otis Redding. The crowd sang along to those, but were definitely rocking out to the band’s songs like “Smoke” and “Preachin’ to the Choir.”

If you haven’t heard them yet, their sound mimics Lynard Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, the Black Crowes, and the Rolling Stones in the context of modern country… which you can’t go wrong with! And they just recently released their latest album Bridges on June 2nd, so check them out! And we’re so glad Sonoma County fans got a chance to experience them live here at Country Summer.

Next up… Montgomery Gentry!
