Well… Mississippi boy William Michael Morgan made his debut at Country Summer and may have stolen a couple thousand hearts at the same time. His smooth voice had the audience swaying to his songs like “Cheap Cologne” and “Vinyl.” He won the audience from the start with his own songs, but then got them singing along even more when playing traditional songs and covers by Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr., Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and The Allman Brothers Band. But although he played those classics, he mixed it up and pleasantly surprised the audience by playing more recent songs like “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol and “Drops of Jupiter” by Train.

While playing his second hit song “Missing” and wandering out closer to the crowd, William snagged a phone from a fan and took video of his view up on stage and then eventually handed it back 😉 All in all, he gave an outstanding performance and had no problem keeping everyone’s attention during his full set here at Country Summer!
