Randy has lived in Sonoma County and been part of Froggy 92.9 since 2012, when the harsh northern Idaho winters sent him seeking a nicer climate. Growing up in Idaho, his hobbies included shoveling show and slipping on ice- two activities he doesn’t miss.
Randy has been a country music fan his whole life. His first record was Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone Cowboy,” a song he sang at his kindergarten talent show. Thankfully, this was before YouTube. A graduate of the University of Idaho (Go Vandals!), Randy has worked in radio since college. Before getting bit by the radio bug, his first job was delivering pizzas for Karl Marks Pizza in Moscow (Idaho, not Russia). Randy served 13 years as a volunteer firefighter and EMT before coming to California.
When he’s not on Froggy, Randy enjoys playing tennis, gardening, watching sports and taking day trips around Northern California. Randy lives in Cloverdale with this wife, Angie, and four dogs; Bubba, Leroy, Scruffy and Wiley.
